Gary D. Boward – Vice President & Program Manager, Medical Case Management Program
Mr. Boward served 12 years as a regular Army Infantry Officer in various leadership and staff positions throughout the world. His last 2 assignments on active duty were as the protocol officer on the personal staffs of 2 Secretaries of Defense and the Chairman/Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Following his separation from the service he served as the Chief of Staff to the President of the Heritage Foundation – a conservative political think-tank in Washington, D.C. since his departure from the Heritage Foundation in 2001, he has spent the last 9 years as a Senior Analyst and Program Manager working on contracts related to the healthcare field for both the Department of Defense and the Department of Transportation. Although separating from the active service 11 years ago, he has maintained his affiliation with the military and currently serves as Operation Officer in the District of Columbia National Guard.Mr. Boward holds a BA degree in History from Virginia Tech. He and his wife, the former Jill Johnson of Stratford, Connecticut, reside in Woodbridge, Virginia with their two children: Katie, 17, and Matthew, 15.
